The best way to show you how a sidebet works is through the following example: You each will receive 100 points to start, and you can bet on any game in your league. For a game ,You can offer wagers to your friends or Bet on the wagers offered by them.
Lets say You want to set a Wager and make others bet a slight gamble - you offer Houston Texans to win against the Baltimore Ravens (a clear favorite) by 10+points , you are offering 3.0x for every bet if Texans win by 10+points. If Texans doesnt win by 10+ points you keep the others bets.This is just one example , you can pick Winner , point margin / POTM as optional variables. when you create wagers , your hope is that scenerio doesnt happen and you pocket the bets. if its unlikely scenerio that others are not willing to take, you may increase the Ratio to tempt others.
Max bets: Lets say you only want to invite 5 bets for this challange so you will set Max bets to 5. so maximum you will win is 5 points and you may lose maximum 15 points as you have offered 3.0x Ratio!
So you can either create wagers for others to bet OR Bet on others challanges / wagers. In above example lets say you want to take take some risk and bet 2 points , so maximum you will win is 6 points ( + you keep 2 you bet ). maximum you lose is 2 points ! sounds Interesting !
In PrediQto, you can either create a standard wagers OR a custom wager. Standard wager consists of a team and other optional varaibles like type of win , #POTM . A custom Wager is anything you would like , for example you want to setup a Wager that "Lebron James will score atleast 30 points in a game" . you can enter any text that describes the bet. Please note that the custom Wager is only validated by Group admin at the end of game. Standard wager is scored by our process at the end of a game. You get points after bets are procssed .
For your group/league we keep track of total win / lose points. you can also see your individual board to keep track of your performance!
The app simply tracks and tallies and allocates points on the Sidebets leaderboard. It will just show the + and - points for each player in your griup. However, you and your friends can decide value of a point together, and the winners will take $ from others.
